Working abroad (in the European Union)

Working abroad (in the European Union)

EU citizens have the right to work in any EU country without a work permit.

Exception: Croatian citizens wishing to work in other EU countries are still subject to temporary restrictions.

While working, you also have the right to live there under certain conditions.

If you live and work in another EU country, it is important that you know:

  • What benefits will be paid to you in the event of sickness, maternity or paternity, retirement, accidents at work and occupational diseases, death, unemployment, early retirement, what will be your family benefits, etc.
  • Where you have to pay taxes.

  • Work permits
  • Equal treatment
  • Temporary employment
  • Workers traveling to another EU country
  • Civil servants abroad
  • Opportunity to work in the public sector
